This list includes suggested items for your outreach. You can either bring it with you, or buy it when you get here. Please note that prices could be more or less expensive in Australia, depending on your home country. Feel free to inquire about specifics.

Suggested Pack List:

Address book/stationary/pictures from home
Sheets, pillowcase, blanket or sleeping bag
Bible, pen & notebook
Laundry bag
Towel
Medication/First Aid
Flashlight (torch)
Sewing kit
Walkman/batteries
Vitamins
Umbrella or rain jacket
Hat
Travel size alarm clock
Musical instrument/chord sheets
Canteen/water bottle
Mosquito repellent
Sunblock/sunscreen (We recommend you buy this here in Australia because of the different protection ratings. The Aussie sun is STRONG!!!)
Air mattress (for lecture weeks in mobile format and for outreach)
Sleeping bag

Camera/film/batteries
Hairdryer (if you use one! Note: Australia is on a 240 volt system)
Windbreaker or warm jacket, cardigan, sweater or jumpers (Especially April-October!)
Walking shoes, sandals, sneakers, thongs, and dress shoes
Work clothes (one change)
Casual wear - modest shorts, T-shirts, trousers (jeans that aren’t too tight!), dresses, etc. (Most Aussie churches are informal, but you should consider trying to bring at least one smart outfit for church and for the graduation dinner.)
Something to sleep in and something to wear between the shower and your room.
Modest bathing suits (Men - no speedos please; Women - we prefer one piece, but if it's a two piece please see that it has a full sport top and a modest bottom.)

Please note in regards to outreach:
In general, dress is much more conservative in developing countries. Pants or long skirts are worn on a daily basis; therefore, we require modest clothing for those participating in an overseas outreach. Sleeveless garments are not allowed in most situations. You may want to consider this in your packing or allow some money for this.

Luggage:
Please limit your luggage to what you can carry at one time by yourself. You will find that you can get by on very little and sometimes extra luggage can be a problem. We suggest one piece of hand baggage and one medium size suitcase, or alternatively, a backpack (which is preferable for most overseas outreaches). While packing, please keep in mind that a sleeping bag is required for most outreaches and they can be rather expensive to buy in Australia.

Bedding:

Pillow will be provided. Please bring your own bed sheets, pillow case, and blanket/sleeping bag. It is advisable to bring a sleeping bag for the outreach phase.
